Licensing Board Policy 4th March 2010 Empty Licensing Board Policy 4th March 2010

The next meeting of the licensing Board on Policy is the this Thursday 4th March, there are two items on the agenda that concern taxi licensing.

The annual review of fee's, and the quarterly review of enforcement,

The full reports are available on the Council's web site, http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/your-city-council/council-meetings/licensing-board/agendas2010/agenda-4th-march-2010-policy

I hope that link works?

You will see that the Report on fee's is looking to maintain the current fee's for all renewal and new applications, there is a proposal to increase the fee's charged for items such as transfers of vehicle licenses and advert consents, this alows the use of the monies earned to avoid increases to all on renewal and new fees. There is also a recomendation on certain fee's of a reduction in charges, This is on the replacement plates and licences.

The enforcement report clearly shows that enforcement is working, and this is agian down to yoruselves for keeping vehicles and yourselves in good order.

Thanks

Hi All

This is just to let you know about the outcome of the Policy meeting.

Fees Review, The Licensing Board accepted the report and that fee's for licence application would remain the same,

Driver licence renewal £135 New £210
Vehicle licence renewal £135 New £210

There are some changes to the fee's for auxilary items,

Vehicle transfer applications up from £15 to £20

Replacement plate down from £40 to £20

And a new charge introduced of £2 for replacement interior signs such as vehicle id numbers, no smoking signs etc. It will be £2 per item.

The rise in transfer fees and charges for auxilary items such as the new charge introduced a year ago for advertising on/in vehicles has allowed the department to offset the need to increase the fee's charged to customers for the mandatory items.

Enforcement Review, The Board and the STTA thank the staff for their work and were happy with teh current levels of enforcement and wished these levels to be maintained for the furture,

The Full results will be avialable soon and will be on the Councils website,
