Taxi Ranks

Can anyone remember what happened to the new taxi ranks that are being commisioned around Sheffield?
Now would be a good time to set these up.
Ideas being Broomhill,Hillsborough,Manor top, Woodseats and of course the Hallamshire hospital

I counted 7 city cars on the A road yesterday and 1 driver asleep just outside the main enterance (very proffessional)

Come on lads think where we could put these and i'm sure aftab will chase it up!

Lets all rank up on Pinstone St outside the Panasonic shop only ever 1 cab parked up. Council could always extend that rank so it could cover Somerfields aswell, just like the Square / Castle markets

Can anyone confirm if a rank has been factored in the design of the new markets at the Moor? If not, then it's about time someone woke up to this and start asking.

Why dont they just make all bust stops Taxi Ranks after say 8pm or 10pm this would create sheltered hundreds or ranks at possible no expense and customers would be sheletered at most of them. It s done in other areas we not here?

There is a lot of weight in that Vulcan, and I have'nt heard of it being done elsewhere but sounds like a good idea that is likely to work.
