This layby at Barkers Pool has no sign ofor no parking and Police park there all day every day, why then are the public cars ticketed if they park on there. I looked everywhere but under what law do they ticket cars when clearly there is no sign advising drivers of no parking in that layby?

Wed Apr 29, 2009 3:55 pm by fairway1

Is it true that station will be discussing putting barriar for everybody going in and out of the station? what will happen to taxis, I think fair sistem is to make barriar for taxis also. Many station drivers not happy but I think it will be fair for all taxi driver in Sheffield.

the cabbie wrote:sheffield city council licencing department needs to start to tackle the unacceptable dispicable behaviour of the minority of taxi driver in this city.whats happen to common curtes...

Advertising on cars given the go ahead

Tue Feb 17, 2009 6:30 pm by Aftab

Licensing Section wrote:No objections were raised from the Private Hire Trade, in fact the Private Hire trade were not represented at the meeting. The Stta made some objections to the fee for consent but not about the possibilty of PHV's advertising.
This is rather unfortunate after asking our friends to consider an objection on grounds of unfair competition, no formal objection was raised. We will see as a result of thi...

Dronfield driver prosecuted by our council.

Fri Jan 23, 2009 5:04 pm by Aftab

A driver from a familliar Dronfield company has been successfully prosecuted for what we term as goosing. He was apparently caught by Officers from the council acting as passengers. The hapless fellow was then caught by North East Debyshire officers for doing the same thing on that side of the border, so twice as much trouble. To add salt to injury though this particular driver has already put in ...
