If you get caught speeding you could have the option to sit a 3 hour course instead of the usual 3 pints on licence.. Speed awareness programmes have been launched in South Yorkshire. Police have drafted in driver training specialists to give motorists the chance to re-learn speed reduction skills. They reckon it'll save lives. It'll cost 60 pounds and it'll be instead of a fine and penalty points. I wonder if this will be an option given to taxi drivers as well?
