London's iconic black cabs are the best in the world, while New York and Parisian taxi drivers are the rudest, according to a new survey.
The capital's taxis may be the world's most expensive but, say those questioned, they make up for it by having the friendliest drivers who actually know where they are going.
New York's yellow taxis came second in the survey by Hotels.com to find out which city has the best cabs, but they lost out on congeniality points, topping the poll for the rudest drivers, along with Parisian cabbies.
Flying high: The London cab has won the 'best taxi in the world' title for the third year running
Rome's taxi drivers were voted the worst when it came to quality of driving, while Sydney's performed particularly badly in the 'value for money, availability and knowledge of the area' categories.

Other cities who made it into the top five for their taxi service include Tokyo, which took third place, followed by Berlin and Bangkok - famed for its tuk-tuks.
Missing congeniality: While New York taxis are the most available, their drivers are also the rudest in the world
London's black cabs were voted the safest with the most knowledgeable drivers.
Bob Oddy, general secretary of the London Taxi Drivers Association, said: 'I'm confident that the vigorous Knowledge of London training which our drivers are required to undertake is the bedrock of our success.'
'It's great to hear that London has won the best taxi vote for the third year running,' said Hotels.com communications director Alison Couper.
'A friendly, knowledgeable taxi driver helps form a positive first impression and they are most definitely an important part of any country's tourism industry.'
Madrid's taxis were ranked sixth in the poll, followed by Copenhagen and Dublin and Frankfurt and Paris.
