A SHEFFIELD taxi driver was assaulted by six men and his car was stolen, driven off and crashed into a wall.
The 42-year-old cab driver was attacked on Endcliffe Vale Road, Endcliffe, Sheffield, in the early hours of Friday. South Yorkshire Police confirmed the incident had been reported and a probe was now under way.
Six men have been arrested. A police spokeswoman said: "As a result of the alleged incident a 42-year-old man sustained minor injuries. Police have since arrested six men on suspicion of racially aggravated public order offences.
"One man has also been arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner's consent."
