DOES ANYBODY POST OR READ THIS ANYMORE

Having been away a bit I thought i would have missed loads on here but the topics seem to have not moved on at all, is this forum still up and running ???????

Hi Vulcan, a very good question indeed and I shall try and explain. I got a couple of students together and and asked if they could help in setting up something on lines of the Sheffield Forum. As you mayb already be aware that Sheffield forum is well attended and local people share some useful information, so the idea was that we could have a taxi drivers dedicated forum.
The guys obliged in creating and helping to run the forum,...........for a while. As all things in life changes happened and the students completed their courses and went their separate ways except for the chap who used the username of Admin, he got a job in Sheffield. He kept an eye on the happeneings in the taxi trade in general and posted any information that he felt was useful for the trade, like the news items etc.
I offered the STTA total control of running of the forum but that was rejected by the Chairman of STTA in no uncertain terms. The STTA decided to set up an ill functioning website that didn't live up to it's promis.
In the meantime everything was going ok here till Admin lost his job in the preluds to the credit crunch, and he went back to his home town of Wolverhampton. It seems that Admin's departure coincided with a general loss of interest of other members to continue with this.
I am willing to resurect this site by regular contributions if other members show some interest in giving a little time to visit and share their thoughts with us here.
I wanted to keep this forum as non political as possible and a platform where all, friend and foe could come together to discuss trade issues, but our own trade body seems to have been negative about this idea.
I would like to start the new year by resurecting this site and would ask you lads to contribute to it's success by posting your thoughts for others to read and respond to.
