Taxi 'sex attack' victims appeal

Detectives investigating a series of suspected sexual assaults by a black cab driver in London believe women in Dorset may have also been victims.

It is alleged the taxi driver carried out the attacks after offering women passengers drugs and drink laced with sedatives causing them to pass out.

It is thought offences may have been committed in Dorset since 2002 but women could have little recollection.

The appeal comes after the Met Police uncovered a series of alleged attacks.

Det Insp Jez Noyce, of Dorset Police, said: "They [the victims] have little or no recollection of what happens, but some of the women do recall being indecently assaulted.

"We have specific concerns about the health and well-being of women who may have been in contact with this man.

"My message to any victims is please come forward in confidence, don't be embarrassed, don't be ashamed and don't suffer in silence because you will be believed."
