Shares in London taxi manufacturer Manganese Bronze gained ground yesterday after a positive trading update from the Coventry-based company.
Sales volumes in the last five months of 2007 were in line with "abnormally high" levels in the seem period last year as the company launched its new TX4 taxicab.
Prototype production of the first TX4 to be built in China under a pounds 53 million joint venture with Geeley Automobile Holdings of Shanghai is expected in mid-2008.
The company, which employs 300 people at its Holyhead Road plant in Coventry, will announce its financial results for an extended 17- month financial period to December 31 on April 16.
Shares in Manganese Bronze rose by 121/2p or two per cent to 535p.
