Luke Aujila has admitted killing taxi driver Gian Chand Bajar
A man pleaded guilty today to killing an elderly taxi driver by mowing him down with his own cab.
Luke Aujila, 20, killed 71-year-old father of five Gian Chand Bajar, who was found lying injured in St Benedict's Avenue, Gravesend, Kent, on May 23.
He will now stand trial after he denied murdering Mr Bajar but pleaded guilty to manslaughter during a plea and case management hearing.

Maidstone Crown Court heard that Aujila admits unlawfully killing Mr Bajar but denies that there was any murderous intent, which is disputed by the Crown.
Mr Bajar, who was semi-retired and described by police as an "upstanding member of the community", died from his injuries at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford. His silver Skoda Octavia was later found burnt out.
Details of the case were not opened by prosecutor Philip St John-Stevens and Aujila, of Dorchester Road, Gravesend, was remanded in custody.
Judge Andrew Patience QC said a provisional trial lasting up to three weeks from May 6 would be reviewed in January.
