Taxi drivers strike again
REVELLERS in Banbury were left with no taxis home for the second weekend running on Friday and Saturday night.
The town's Hackney cab drivers were on strike again in protest at Cherwell District Council's plans to 'deristrict' the number of licences.
This means anyone who passes a fit-for-purpose vehicle test can apply to run a taxi.
Strikers fear the move will have a serious impact on their earnings without improving services for the public.
