Re: snow?
UK Hit By Snow Fall
Winter appears to have arrived early in the UK as more than three inches of snow fell in areas of England and Wales yesterday.
The areas worst affected by the show included the Peak District in Derbyshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire, Sheffield and Birmingham.
According to reports, around 4,000 homes were left without electricity in Shropshire, due to the snowfall, while several cars were reported to have become stuck in high roads in Radnorshire, east Wales, on Sunday night.
Eight people also suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash on the M42 between Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield in Warwickshire during heavy snow on Sunday night.
Much of the snow has now melted and roads have been cleared.
However, forecasters have warned that there could potentially be more snow later in the week.
