MARSHALLS MINIBUS

We have finally heard the outcome of the Court case against the driver of Marshalls Minibus who was convicted of Illegal Plying for hire.

The Court today,13/03/09 Fined Mr Marshall £150 plus £15 victim surhcarge (ordered against anybody convicted of any offence) and awarded costs of £200 to be paid.

The Licensing Section are a little disapointed at the outcome, but you may rest assured that if sufficient evidence is gathered again then we will seek to prosecute the driver again for similar offences.

Yes I can confirm that too faiway1, he was working but we have to prove that he was doing something illegal before authorities can do anything about it. He has a licence to take bookings and work but not work as a taxi picking up without being booked, so if you see him do that, then stop him.

We continue to gather evidence and we hope to take further legal action in the near future, we have aslo sent the information about the conviction to VOSA who issue the Licenses for PSV's and this should be considered in respect of licences the owner of this minibus.
