STTA website

Post by TX1an on Wed Jan 14, 2009 9:25 pm

Has anyone clicked on the link at the top of this page for the STTA website?
I wonder how much money that has cost and why it looks like a Polish building site (half finished)
Go on I dare someone to enquire the cost and ask who's cousin did it Laughing

lt is not in trade interest to discuss individual failings, so no comment

The website created for STTA, seems to have been done on a fairly basic platform, and most probably a DIY attempt by a non professional, so cost would have or should have been minimal. So it would be wrong for us to worry about the STTA expenses

Ha ha i've just had a look at that website, and talk about promoting yourself eh? They don't hold back at all in praising themselves do the, oh yes we are so wonderful everybody loves us, the Town Hall, The Police all do as we say, and we represent the trade...............like hell you do, only the station, and I work at the station, I should know. There are only about five people who make the decissions and they aren't even on the committee, the rest just follow like sheep. Makes you sick, but hey who am I to rock the boat?

Please lads, it looks as though we are as a forum making fun of the only organisation that proports to represent us as a trade. There may be failings but can be sorted out without getting peoples' back up. If there isn't a STTA website, then so what? People can easily and freely use this site to gain access and share information. At the end of the day our interests are the same to promote and enhance and thereby help the trade as a whole. Many of our users are members of the STTA and everybody is welcome on here.

STTA isn't free, it's £20 for the privelage of a membership.

So why not join the Hackney and Private Hire union just for a tenner? They go to the same meetings and sit at the same desk, and have tea and biscuits together, so why £10 for ours and £20 for you lads, I think somebody's making a lot of money on your side of town.

looks like the account for STTA website has been suspended, with the message "Please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible" coming up when you try to go on there.
